WISCONSIN WOMANS $14K THEFT UNRAVELED BY HER OWN PAYCHECKS

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A thirty-six-year-old Wisconsin woman faces twenty-four felony charges including identity theft and bail jumping after allegedly stealing over fourteen thousand dollars from her former employer. Here's what may have happened.

On July fourth, twenty twenty-five, Leida Margaretha was arrested in Wisconsin on bail jumping charges. The arrest stems from alleged crimes prosecutors say occurred between November twenty twenty-three and March twenty twenty-four.

According to court documents, Margaretha allegedly transferred more than fourteen thousand dollars from Mix-Tek business without authorization between November twenty twenty-three and February twenty twenty-four. The funds were reportedly transferred to Progressive Insurance and PrePass accounts linked to Margaretha's company, Proud American Logistics LLC.

Margaretha had access to Mix-Tech's account information through her administrative role and bank information printed on her paychecks. She left Mix-Tech on January nineteenth, twenty twenty-three after being involved in an argument with management staff.

The Mix-Tech owner stated that "at no time did he or any other representative of Mix-Tech give Leida consent to withdraw money or use the account owned by Mix-Tech to fund expenses for her own business."

Subpoenas were served and financial records obtained from Progressive Insurance and PrePass that confirmed transactions and revealed additional transactions the Mix-Tek owner was previously unaware of.

Wisconsin filed two counts of identity theft against Margaretha in September twenty twenty-five and a count of bail jumping in July. The alleged identity theft occurred in twenty twenty-three, when Margaretha reportedly used information she obtained illegally about a second business to make additional fraudulent charges.

In January twenty twenty-five, Margaretha got into an altercation with her husband Eric and caught two misdemeanor charges, resulting in the first felony bail jumping charge. She denied the bond jumping offense and insisted there was a mixup with paperwork.

On January fifth, twenty twenty-six, Margaretha pleaded not guilty to at least some of the twenty-four felony counts during a court hearing at the Juneau County Justice Center. She was ordered to surrender her passport after being released from custody and has a court hearing scheduled for February eighteenth.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
