RESTAURANT EMPLOYEES OWN CAMERA CAPTURED THE EVIDENCE THAT LED TO HIS ARREST

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A thirty-one-year-old restaurant employee in Hedwig Village faces charges after allegedly hiding a motion-activated camera in a family bathroom that recorded customers including a female child. Here's what may have happened.

On Tuesday evening, Bayson Elias Pu, an employee at the Lupe Tortilla restaurant location near Katy Freeway and Echo Lane, allegedly installed a hidden camera under the family bathroom sink just after six thirty p.m. The motion-activated device was concealed and programmed to record only when someone entered the restroom.

Approximately forty minutes later, around seven ten p.m. that same evening, a female employee discovered the camera hidden under the sink. The device had captured roughly thirty minutes of total recording time during the brief period it remained undetected.

According to police reports, two videos were recovered from the concealed camera. The footage allegedly shows adult women and a female child while undressed in the restaurant bathroom. Investigators noted that the camera's motion-activation feature meant it only recorded when customers entered the restroom, not continuously.

A key break in the case came when investigators reviewed the camera's own footage. As one official stated, "Fortunately for us, his face was captured on the actual camera as he was installing it. So that was obviously a helpful clue."

The official also explained the camera's operation, saying, "It was motion-activated is what my investigators told me later, so it was not recording for the full thirty minutes. If someone came into the restroom, it would pick up activity."

Police praised the restaurant's cooperation during the investigation. One official commented, "I can't say enough about their cooperation. It really means a lot."

Hedwig Village Police arrested Bayson Elias Pu on December thirty-first. He has since posted a one hundred fifty thousand dollar bond after it was granted by the court.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
