Welcome to Arrest Stories. A police sergeant responding to emergency calls about gunshots and screaming allegedly stopped at an ATM, visited a pizzeria, and spent nearly an hour socializing at a tavern instead of investigating what turned out to be a double murder scene. Here's what may have happened.
Police Sergeant Kevin Bollaro faces charges of official misconduct and tampering with records following his response to multiple nine-one-one calls reporting gunshots and screaming on August first. According to prosecutors, when the first resident from forty-one Upper Kingtown Road called police about disturbing sounds, Bollaro drove approximately one and a half miles in the opposite direction to the TD Bank on Route thirty-one in Clinton Township, where he conducted a personal ATM transaction.
The situation escalated when a second caller from five White Bridge Road reported similar gunshots and screaming. GPS data revealed Bollaro drove partially down White Bridge Road but never stopped to investigate further. Instead, he proceeded directly to Duke's Pizzeria and Restaurant at three seventy-one Pittstown Road, where he remained for approximately fifty minutes.
Following his dining experience, Bollaro allegedly parked at and walked toward the Pittstown Inn, where witnesses observed him engaging socially with patrons for roughly fifty-seven minutes. During this entire response, Bollaro never activated his emergency lights or siren, and prosecutors say he failed to speak with any of the multiple callers.
The investigation revealed Bollaro spent approximately five consecutive hours of his shift, from eleven twenty-seven PM until four thirty-three AM, at Locust Grove Cemetery on County Route five seventy-nine in Quakertown, with no recorded law enforcement activity.
Prosecutors allege Bollaro falsified his official report, claiming he was unable to make contact with callers and had thoroughly checked the area before clearing the scene after twenty minutes. One official stated, "Instead of immediately responding to the call for service, Bollaro drove about one point five miles in the opposite direction of the caller's location."
The double murders weren't discovered until twelve twenty-two PM the following day.
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
