MEDINA COUNTY MAN ARRESTED FOR THREATS MADE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Welcome to Arrest Stories. Here's what may have happened: A 20-year-old man allegedly made threats against a mosque in Ohio, prompting a swift response from law enforcement and the FBI.

In Valley City, Ohio, on November 17, 2025, an anonymous tip was flagged by the FBI's National Threat Operations Center regarding a potential mass shooting threat. The tip was related to alleged posts made on social media by Wyatt James Brzoska, a 20-year-old man from Medina County.

According to reports, Brzoska had posted videos and messages on TikTok referencing mass shootings and symbols linked to extremist groups, including the Black Sun. One of the videos showed Brzoska holding a BB gun, and he had also posted a video from inside a vehicle showing the exterior of a mosque.

On March 10, 2026, Brzoska allegedly recorded another video referencing the Christchurch mosque shootings. The videos and messages were seen as a threat by the FBI, which led to a joint investigation with the Medina County Sheriff's Office and the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Medina County deputies interviewed Brzoska on November 17, 2025, but he allegedly told them the threats were a joke. However, the investigation continued, and Brzoska was arrested and charged with federal offenses connected to the threats.

"We welcome the arrest of the suspect and commend law enforcement authorities for their swift action to prevent what could have been a devastating act of violence targeting a house of worship," said a spokesperson for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)-Northern Ohio. "No community should have to live in fear of being attacked because of their faith."

The FBI praised the swift and decisive action of law enforcement, which prevented what would have been a tragic act of violence. "We are grateful to law enforcement for their swift and decisive action," said a spokesperson for the FBI.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
