Police responding to the scene observed lights being turned on and off inside the residence, prompting officers to use their patrol car speakers to demand that Farmer exit the property. The standoff ended when Farmer opened the front door and was taken into custody at one fifty-three in the morning.
This arrest comes amid a complex history between the two political candidates. Court records show Farmer was previously charged in July with misdemeanor domestic violence and assault against Oglesby-Henry, involving allegations that he pushed, grabbed her throat, and punched her. A protection order was subsequently issued against Farmer.
The situation escalated further in September when Farmer allegedly pointed a firearm at Oglesby-Henry, though charges against him were dismissed on August fifth. Interestingly, Oglesby-Henry herself was also arrested and accused of pointing a gun at Farmer during their ongoing disputes.
Police wrote in court records that the November first incident occurred in her Westwood residence, with video evidence reportedly capturing Farmer breaking into the property. He now faces felony burglary charges and violating a protection order, with bond set at sixty thousand dollars.
Oglesby-Henry released a statement saying, "While Mr. Farmer remains squatting in my home today, he used law enforcement to bring a false case against me and had me jailed without cause."
