ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT WORKED AS ARMED COP FOR 10 YEARS - THEN THIS HAPPENED

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A sworn police officer carrying a badge and gun in suburban Chicago was arrested by federal agents after allegedly overstaying a tourist visa for over a decade while earning taxpayer-funded salary and pension benefits. Here's what may have happened.

Twenty-five-year-old Radule Bojovic from Montenegro found himself in federal custody on October fifteenth during a targeted enforcement operation in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. According to immigration officials, Bojovic entered the United States on a B-two visitor visa that required his departure by March thirty-first, two thousand fifteen. Instead of leaving, he allegedly remained in the country illegally for more than ten years.

The arrest occurred during Operation Midway Blitz, a Department of Homeland Security enforcement campaign targeting undocumented immigrants in the Chicago area. ICE officers encountered Bojovic during the sweep and immediately placed him under arrest after confirming his immigration status.

What makes this case particularly striking is Bojovic's role as a sworn police officer with the Hanover Park Police Department. He was hired in January two thousand twenty-five and graduated from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy in August. The department approved him for their pension fund with a starting salary of nearly seventy-nine thousand dollars, costing taxpayers over two hundred thousand dollars in earnings this year.

"Radule Bojovic violated our nation's laws and was living illegally in the United States for ten years. What kind of police department gives criminal illegal aliens badges and guns?" said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

However, Hanover Park officials defended their hiring decision, stating Bojovic presented valid federal work authorization documents. "All information we received from the federal government indicated that Officer Bojovic is legally authorized to work in the United States as a police officer," the village said in a statement.

ICE Chicago Field Office Director Sam Olson emphasized federal firearms restrictions, stating "Illegal aliens are prohibited from owning or possessing firearms, full stop."

Bojovic has been placed on administrative leave pending immigration proceedings.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
