Here's what may have happened.
On August eleventh, two thousand twenty-five, Jared Oliver, a 32-year-old reserve deputy constable from Liberty County, was arrested in College Station, Texas. Oliver had deputized with the Liberty County Pct. four Constable's office in April twenty-five, and was supposed to be off-duty at the time of the arrest.
According to eyewitnesses, Oliver appeared intoxicated, stumbling around the bar and flashing his badge at patrons, claiming to be an undercover officer. When questioned by a bar employee about his presence, Oliver allegedly told him that he had a gun on him.
"I'm a cop! I do. I'm a police officer," Oliver allegedly told authorities when questioned about his actions.
Oliver was arrested and charged with public intoxication and unlawful carry of a weapon. His actions have sparked an investigation into his conduct as a reserve deputy constable.
The Liberty County Constable's office has declined to comment on the matter, citing the ongoing investigation.
