Welcome to Arrest Stories. A twenty-nine-year-old Georgia mother was arrested on charges including involuntary manslaughter and cruelty to children just days after launching a fundraising campaign following her toddler son's death. Here's what may have happened.
In November, police in Hinesville, Georgia responded to a home on Slade Street after receiving a report of a child with a gunshot wound. The two-year-old victim, identified as Keith Richard, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead at three fifty p.m. local time. Authorities determined the death resulted from a suspected accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police launched an investigation into the toddler's death following the November incident. On December third, Raven Louise Broniecki posted a GoFundMe page seeking donations after her son's passing. In the fundraising appeal, Broniecki wrote, "My sweet baby boy my best friend my whole world has recently passed away."
The GoFundMe description continued, "I am trying to raise the funds for bills. We spent all our funds on funeral and urns and other things for our baby boy and we now are left with a hefty amount of bills and just need some help to get back on our feet. We are very stressed and heart broken. Still have six children to raise and we are trying our best."
Five days later, on December eighth, the Hinesville Police Department arrested Broniecki in Liberty County. She faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct, and cruelty to children in connection with her son's death.
Broniecki posted bond totaling twenty-two thousand three hundred dollars and was released from custody after spending one day in jail. The GoFundMe page has since been removed from the platform.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the two-year-old's death remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the events that led to the tragic incident at the Slade Street residence.
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
