Welcome to Arrest Stories. Thirty-one-year-old Darron Lee has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence after a woman was found dead inside an Ooltewah home in Hamilton County, Tennessee. Here's what may have happened.

On Thursday afternoon, February fifth, Hamilton County deputies were dispatched to a residence in the seventy-five hundred block of Snow Cone Way in Ooltewah following a report of CPR in progress. Upon arrival, first responders located a female victim and attempted life-saving measures, but she was determined to be deceased.

The woman was found dead with signs of severe trauma inside the home. Due to the condition of the victim and the residence, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Services Detectives responded to the scene. Preliminary findings indicated that the victim's death was the result of a homicide.

During the investigation, detectives discovered several concerning pieces of evidence. There were no signs of forced entry, but broken glass was found in the kitchen area. Blood evidence was located in several areas throughout the house. The amount and location of the blood did not match explanations provided by Lee. Additionally, cleaning supplies were found in unusual places within the residence.

Lee was identified as the victim's boyfriend and was present at the scene when deputies arrived. Lee told deputies he found the woman unconscious on the couch and believed she may have fallen in the shower. However, investigators found inconsistencies with his account of events.

Lee was taken into custody at the scene on Thursday and has been charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence. He is being held without bond. The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of family members.

According to court documents, additional charges could be pending following the outcome of the ongoing investigation. The case remains under active investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigative Services.
