50-YEAR-OLD MAN ARRESTED AFTER ADMITTING THIS ONE THING

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A fifty-year-old Boaz man was arrested on January eighth, twenty twenty-six, for electronic solicitation of a child following a multi-agency undercover investigation. Here's what may have happened.

James Eric Sitz found himself in custody after what authorities describe as a proactive, long-term investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies across state lines. The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office and Etowah County Sheriff's Office served an arrest warrant at Sitz's residence on Maple Drive in Boaz, Alabama.

According to police reports, Sitz believed he was communicating online with a fourteen-year-old girl. However, the person on the other end of those conversations was actually an undercover investigator with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office operating a false persona. During these electronic communications, Sitz allegedly engaged in inappropriate conversations and solicited nude images from what he perceived to be an underage victim.

The investigation revealed connections to a separate undercover operation conducted by law enforcement in West Virginia, linking Sitz to additional inappropriate online activities. This multi-state coordination demonstrates the scope of the investigation that ultimately led to his arrest.

Following his arrest on January eighth, Sitz participated in a post-arrest interview where he admitted to engaging in inappropriate online communications with the undercover persona. Law enforcement officers also executed a search warrant at his Maple Drive residence, seizing multiple electronic devices that authorities believe may contain child sexual abuse material depicting young teenage girls.

The operation was a joint effort between the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office, Etowah County Sheriff's Office, and the Etowah County District Attorney's Office, with the agencies coordinating despite being located two hundred seventy miles apart.

A law enforcement spokesperson stated, "This arrest is the result of a proactive, long-term investigation and strong cooperation between local, state, and federal partners. Protecting our children is a top priority, and we remain committed to identifying and holding accountable anyone who seeks to exploit our children within the community."

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
